Dr. Susan E. Kirschner is a board certified veterinary ophthamologist who has been practicing for 16 years. Dr. Kirschner graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Following a year internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Kirschner completed a residency at the Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in Ophthamology. The next three years were spent doing ocular research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Kirschner then returned to The Animal Medical Center as their staff ophthamologist where she practiced for three years. In 1994 Dr. Kirschner relocated to Portland, Oregon. The Animal Eye Doctor is located at the Veterinary Referral Center of Portland in Cedar Hills, just a short drive from downtown. Dr. Kirschner is also the author of numerous published articles and book chapters.
